Pricing and Descriptions
Membership in the SRA is for the calendar year. Applications received prior to October 1 will be processed for the current year and membership will be retroactive to January 1. All publications from the current year will be sent upon processing of the application. Applications received on or after October 1 are considered eligible for membership effective the following year.
Who can join SRA?
The Society for Research on Adolescence (SRA) includes professionals and graduate students in psychology, human development, family studies, education, public policy, sociology, social work, psychiatry, pediatrics, public health, and many other areas. If you are conducting research on adolescence, you cannot gain better professional contacts and information than through SRA.
Membership is open to any individual or professional who has contributed to, is interested in or has furthered research in adolescent development. Students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate study qualify for student membership. SRA accepts credit card payments online from Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
Membership Benefits
All members receive four hardcopy issues of Journal of Research on Adolescence (JRA). Also included with membership is:
- Networking through SRA's Blogs, the Biennial Meeting and the online membership directory
- Online access to the new Teachers' Corner, which provides members with news and resources
- E-TOC JRA alerts when a new publication is available online
- Online access to JRA
- Access to the online SRA Blogs, which shares news, ideas and resources
- Reduced rates for the Biennial Meeting
- Member discounts for two-year regular memberships and developing international countries
Publication Package Selection (prices do not change)
In an effort to lessen our impact on the environment by reducing the number of print copies of our journals, SRA is offering Green Publication Packages. By choosing a Green Package you may discontinue receiving your print journal and the Newsletter while still having online access to all SRA publications. Green Packages are not subject to a price reduction since opting out does not reduce SRA’s publication costs.
You will have the option to select one of two packages after selecting your membership type online.
Print Package: All Publications Mailed
Green Package: Online Access Only

If you are unable to use the online application system, print out and complete our SRA Membership Form (pdf). Remember to enclose payment when you mail it back to us.
NOTE: SRA does not offer membership refunds.
