PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

During the planning stages of this website, student members were asked—What would you like to see on the SRA student website?  The overwhelming majority of responses asked for information about the career issues and career planning.  As such, this portion of the website is devoted to articles written for and by student members on career issues.  To contribute an idea for an article to this page of the website, go to Contributor Opportunities.

The Post-Doc and the Rest of your Life….. by Jennifer L. Tanner

“Because the post-doctoral position is the proverbial academic internship to your future academic career you’ll want to be wise to the characteristics of the post-doctoral position that will launch you vs. the post-doctoral position that will drown you (or at least wondering why you did not become a landscaper like your brother!)”  Read here to find out how to be wise on the hunt!
