The International Young Scholars Program, supported by the Jacobs Foundation of Switzerland, was established by SRA to support the travel of international scholars to the SRA Biennial Meeting and facilitate collegial scholarly interaction among international and North American scholars during the meeting. To accomplish the latter goal, each international scholar is paired with a scientist from North America whose research interests are aligned or complementary to his/her own.

Twenty promising young international scholars will be selected to receive travel funds to attend the 2012 SRA Biennial Meeting and present their research. In addition, recipients will receive complimentary registration for the Biennial Meeting. Application Deadline: December 9, 2011.

There is recognition and prestige around the globe associated with presenting one’s research at an international meeting. Attendance at an SRA Biennial Meeting provides the opportunity for young scientists to share their research findings with novel audiences possessing similar interests in a specific aspect of adolescent development. The knowledge gained and networking opportunities experienced by the international young scholars at the biennial meeting offer great potential for expanding research horizons as well as expanding the knowledge of SRA Biennial Meeting attendees about adolescents in other countries.
